RULES & AWARDS

The awards for the Michigan Runner of the Year presented by Brooks will be awarded to each category. Open Women (39 and under), Open Men (39 and under), Masters Women (40 and up),  Masters Men (40 and up), Grand Masters Women (60 and up), and Grand Masters Men (60 and up).

Each category winner will receive a pair of Brooks shoes and gear.  The runner with the most points overall is crowned Michigan Runner of the Year and will receive 2 shoes (1 for category and 1 for MROY). 

• Open Women (39 and under)

• Grand Masters Men (60+)

Points System 

• 1st place – 16 pts
• 2nd place – 12 pts
• 3rd place – 9 pts
• 4th place – 7 pts
• 5th place – 6 pts
• 6th place – 5 pts
• 7th place – 4 pts
• 8th place – 3 pts
• 9th place – 2 pts
• 10th place – 1 pts

Tie Breakers

1. Who has scored in the most MRRS races
2. Place in the final MRRS race
3. Place in the first MRRS race
